Let me hear it!

I don't know about you, but my kids schools' spirit wear is so blah! The logo is boring and when the kids wear them on Fridays, everyone looks the same! 

And, come to think of it, whenever we go to the Oakland Athletics' games, we check the coliseum store and the shirts for kids are hideous. 

So I've had it! I have started to create spirit wear that we can be proud to wear!

This was the custom order that sparked my interest. I have done many personalized spirit wear pieces, but I haven't put them in the shop. I didn't even take pictures because I wasn't sure if this was something only I... and maybe a few customers thought was a good idea. Broken Lens

I have been so busy sewing... I haven't had a chance to blog!
Aaaaaannnnd, my camera lens broke... well, I mean, I broke my lens!
So I was utilizing my cell phone camera, which totally sucks. (excuse my language)

Anyway, I am so happy to get a new lens!!! 
Especially because I got to capture this super adorable girly in my new wolf design.

It was our good friend Bella's Birthday. I wanted to make her a custom shirt for her Toy Story birthday, but I wasn't sure where to begin. We decided to search out a western shirt. Bella's Mom dropped this shirt off to me on Thursday. It looked a bit like this. I felt it looked too masculine. I couldn't think of anything right away...

I sketched and shopped for fabric's yesterday and I guess I work best under pressure, because at 11pm, last night, I created this...

She wore it well!

The moment I shipped it off, I wished I had made one for myself.

My kids and I always go without... if it's an amazing piece of work, I would rather let someone else enjoy it. :]

Meet Frankie.

I am almost through with stitching this Halloween's Bony costumes. I have been at my machine for about a month now. Drawing bones, cutting bones, placing bones, sewing bones, etc... It was a huge relief to create this custom little Frankie. He is now part of the Small Threads family.

Bony Baby

Only 4 days left to order for Halloween 2009.

I am making a little time for my own boys this year.

Last year I didn't even finish my sweet sons' costume in time for Halloween. I had to resort to safety pins and tape to put my little werewolf together.

Custom Bling!

I had a blast creating this order. I was asked to custom design a "baby bling" for an adult, on a hot pink tank. Super cute hah?

Octo-Rock!

This has got to be my most far out creation yet! It was inspired by a boy named Miles and his Mom, Paige.

These are the orders that I received;

The diaper bag is for a 1 year old little boy named Miles.  

Themes I like:

the fluer de lis and anything that reminds my of New Orleans
